USA Truck to add 125 jobs in West Memphis area

USA Truck is a medium haul, common and contract carrier specializing in truckload quantities of general commodities. Founded in 1983, USA Truck operates in all 48 states, and in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec, and is headquartered in Van Buren, Ark.

VAN BUREN, Ark. — USA Truck announced today that it will begin adding approximately 125 new jobs, including truck driving positions, in the greater West Memphis, Ark., area. This new opportunity is a result of increasing customer demand in that area.

These additional jobs will be part of a plan to upgrade an existing smaller facility to a full-service terminal beginning in March. This upgraded operating center will include on-site fleet managers, full-service maintenance facilities, safety and driver training staff, plus driver amenities. Drivers age 21 or older with a valid CDL and an acceptable driving record are encouraged to apply.

“We are excited to add stable, good-paying jobs in a tough economy in the West Memphis area, where we have had a business presence for more than 25 years,” said Cliff Beckham, USA Truck’s president and CEO. “The expansion of our facility there to a full-service operations center will enhance the experience for our drivers through better home time and overall support.”
